If competing for money and prizes is what fuels you, Club 126 is for you. This is not to say that we do not intend to have fun. Fun for our founding members is wagering small amounts on golf. If this sounds like fun, we are your club. Competition is fun. If you want to play in a club for the sole purpose of camaraderie and fun, this club is not for you. This club has fun, it has camaraderie, but it also has competition…it is our primary means of existence.
The problem is that when money gets involved, feelings get hurt, tensions get higher, and communications break down. If you ever feel like losing $20 to a higher handicap golfer when they “steal” a hole from you when they get “strokes” on a certain hole is going to piss you off, our club is not for you. We have the rules laid out ahead of time….when you sign up and agree to them, there is no turning back on your word. You gotta deal with what you agreed to.
Our policy is and forever will be that if you ever feel the need to bitch and complain, you are free to ask for a refund of your club registration fee. But you can be assured that you won’t be able to return anytime soon there after.
The main rule to live by is that sometimes you are going to win alot of money with a par….and other times you are going to lose money on an eagle. If this is something you can handle with dignity, our club may be your new home.
